DARE 2 DIRECT - CONTEST

DARE2DIRECT is a short film contest in it's second year and Mindworks Pictures is taking a shot. Looking at last years contestants, there were some good little films that were made. Most of them were very creepy, dreamlike scripts, that were lacking in plot, but not in gore or scary characters. We believe we have a real shot at winning the best picture, though we will be given a real run for our money in the Creepiest Character and Special/Make-up Effects categories.

Our script will be a short ( twisted version ) of AFTER DARK our next Feature Film in line to shoot. Though the premise will remain, many of the plot points, subplots, and even the Characters will be quite a bit different. We are looking forward to making this film, it will prepare us for the two Features that are to come and give us some work with a few of the Actors from REAR VIEW. Stay tuned to our Behind The Mind Web Documentary Site, because we will be documenting the making of it there for everyone.

BACK ON TRACK!

Lots to talk about. Many things in the pot right now cooking. REAR VIEW will be shooting in two weeks now. We are shooting a short 6 minute film, right now, for a film contest called DARE2DIRECT. We could get up to $15,000 for our film if we win. So we thought what the hell, let's do it. The script will be finished tonight and we are thrilled with it. We will document the making of it on the Behind the Mind Documentary Site, so stay tuned. We will have pics and Video's as well as a web diary of the whole making of this film.. called " One Hour till Sunrise " it is in the Horror genre and you can check out the contest at the link provided at the bottom of this post.

Second, we are going right into Pre-Production of AFTER DARK once REAR VIEW is in the tank. We are thoroughly excited about this film. We will have some known Actors and Actresses in this film and a BUDGET! Yahoooo! This one will be a hoot for all that are involved and there will be a Web Documentary of the making of this film as well.. though this one will be updated much more than REAR VIEW has been. We are still getting the hang of working and keeping the Blog updated.

Finally we are working simultaneously on a Web Series RAZOR'S EDGE throughout the filming of these Films. Razor's Edge is a Web Series that we have been developing that will be interactive for the viewers. It will be amazing for us and the viewers. I will be doing a post on this very soon, with all the details of the story and cast. Talk to everyone very soon.
