FINAL REHEARSAL WAS GREAT!

The Final rehearsal for REAR VIEW was awesome. We hammered out the final scene and have made it into a perfect climax for the film. There will be a couple of little get togethers to tighten up spots, but the main scenes have been hashed out. Really looking forward to getting it on film. Dave Martorano and I are going to sit down with the footage and see if there is anything that we missed, needs tightening, but wow! Really impressed with how everyone came together and worked hard to realize the ending to it's fullest.

Will have a bit of the footage up on the site from the Rehearsal, but just a little, don't want to give away the end of the film at all. So expect to see that soon.Now we are putting schedules together and figuring out our first shooting weekend. We have several people to consider when scheduling so, this will be a bit tricky, but we want to work with everyone to make the film with everybodys time in mind.

RAZOR'S EDGE Ready to Rock!

Last night Dave Marturano and Myself knocked a lot of work out of the park. We are working diligently on bring THE RAZOR'S EDGE to life. We truly believe we have a good product to show the web. We worked out back stories to Characters, plot lines, almost the entire first season, and are energetic to start shooting it. We will be getting some TEASER footage done this weekend to put up. There are several places you will be able to watch the show, first it will have it's own site.. and say every Monday night you will see the Webisode aired there first. Then the other web TV stations will have it playing through out the week. The voting, Interactive part of the show, will take place from the Monday it airs to the Friday of that week. Giving us just a couple of days to shoot the next Webisode.

Absolute fun, adrenaline pumping, story lines, with cliffhangers around every corner. We think you'll like the characters and want to push them through the stories, just as much as we do. So look for TEASERS starting to peak up on the sites this next week. Then right around the corner here, we will get the site up, start promoting, and start shooting full webisodes. Coming up fast. We will actually be doing this on and off through the shooting of REAR VIEW ( DISTORTION ) as well. So it won't be wait until that is through, before you start seeing Razor's Edge. Edge will be airing it's first Webisode, I am pretty sure, before REAR VIEW is totally in the can.

Meeting of Minds Tonight!

Tonight Dave Marturano and Myself will be meeting tonight at our Famous Fazoli's Restaurant, our typical hot spot, to finalize the end of REAR VIEW. we meet once a week to go over changes, additions, and any new thoughts for the script as it nears the end. It has been awesome having him on board and helping me through the Pre-Production. I've already told him, not only is he going to be my BRUCE CAMBPELL, but he will be behind the scenes on all my productions as well. He brings the same fire and energy I do and it is fantastic to have back up like that. Anyway we will be hammering out the ending dialogue and action.

The other thing we will be working on is our new Web Series, that he will be starring in.. The Razor's Edge. Both of us are very excited and i have been pounding out Webisodes left and right. The first will be a double or triple webisode either 10 to 15 minutes long. want to lay the ground work for the characters and plot, then we can sail through webisodes like a bottle rocket. We really believe we have something that is fresh and new and will entertain as well as get your participation. So anyways bye for now..

New TITLE for DISTORTION!!

Not that we want to CONFUSE EVERYONE or anything!! But this is something that had to be done. Here is the scoop on why we have made the move!!

Recently while creating our MYSPACE movie page, I came along another production being made right now, with the same title. There are way to many similarities with the title, age of the Director/Writer, and having a MYSPACE site ( No similarities in storyline ) to keep our name. I don't want this other Production and ours getting confused and building traffic and BUZZ for his Production. So for now ours has now taken on the title REAR VIEW.. With the slug line " Images in the Rear View are different than they appear! " It may stick and in fact we will have a poll on the site with several different choices and see what you all say! I think it works and the new MYSPACE SITE has this title as of now http://www.myspace.com/rearviewthemovie so check it out. This site will connect the Web Documentary and have all the Video's, Photo's, and the Diary from the Making, as well as all Trailers, Cast and Crew Bios, etc..It is bare bones now, but by the end of the day will be almost completed and up to date for now..Here are a couple of the alternative names..

Final REHEARSALS are set!

The final rehearsals for DISTORTION are set for the 22nd of this month and will signify the end of Pre-Production. With all the little ends final sewn up, we a prepped and ready as we can be. We are just in need of finishing the Choreography for the finale and the final dialogue in the scene. To me the dialogue is not final, until the scene is rehearsed, once it is said aloud, we truly get to hear if there are any issues, or if anything comes up on the spot, that may work better.

I am thrilled to be moving into the Principle Photography for Distortion. Can't wait to get behind the camera and say “ACTION “ for the first time.The Cast is anxious as well, so after this rehearsal is in the bag, we will set the dates for the first shooting days. So stay tuned, it's coming. There will be a total of another four Video's coming for the Pre-Production part of the Webdocumentary. I have been editing them the last couple of nights and they are all almost finished. In fact Sunday, two of them should be up, the third will be during the week, and the final will be airing footage from the final rehearsal, so that won't be until after the 22nd.So TT everyone later!

New WEBSERIES Coming!

Razor's Edge 2008 Property of Baked Mind Films

In Development right now is a New WEBSERIES that will be coming soon. The Razor's Edge will be a series of 5 Minute Episodes that will end in a cliffhanger, drawing the viewers to come back and see the next one and the next one and so on. It is a SCI-FI based series that will not only have the viewers watching, but also participating. For now, the amount of interactivity is HUSH HUSH, but we hope that it will gain interest and a good following. It will be an Action/Adventure series that will absolutely keep everyone entertained and we hope will garner BAKED MIND FILMS some well deserved attention. Stay tuned for updates and details as they get ironed out, but we are very excited about this new venture, and are looking forward to giving everyone a great product.

FARRLAND & MINDWORKS Join Forces!

Dr. Asad Farr with Actor Robert Miano

We are very lucky to have a new Executive Producer on board with DISTORTION. Dr. Farr, of Farrland Films is working hand in hand to get Distortion on the screen. He has become very instrumental in helping us find the last few pieces to our puzzle to get rolling and Shooting. He has been in the Film business for several years now and has Produced a number of Projects in that time frame. His Films have had starred the likes of Robert Miano, Scott Schwartz, Branscombe Richmond, Frank Stallone, Vanessa Ross, and Shane Brolly of Underworld I, II, and III which is in Post Production at this time. Dr Farr is a tremendous asset to us and we are very thankful for his help in getting DISTORTION off the ground.We met earlier this year, through Ben Bachelder, and started work on AFTER DARK together. That film is slated to shoot directly after Distortion and we are looking forward to a long, very productive partnership with him. So WELCOME ABOARD Dr. Farr!

Creating DISTORTION

DISTORTION is going to be an homage to the old Hitchcock Films of yesterday. As a Writer/Director I have idolized the Iconic Director for his phenomenal Films since I was in my early teens. I have been trying to find a story that I could create that would really hearken back to films like PSYCHO or NORTH BY NORTHWEST. His visual style is so distinctive that many directors, such as DEPALMA, VAN SANT, have been trying to recreate it over and over. Though VAN SANT has his own style as well. Finally I have come up with a storyline that reminds me of THE BIRDS, which is what I was aiming for. Take a subject, amplify it to the worst possible scenario, and make it look fantastic. The BIRDS to me was always so freaky, since we are never told why they attack, this is left out, which to me made it even the scarier. No real Motive!

DISTORTION has reasoning behind the incident, though keeping the viewer in the dark on some of the motivation, takes it to that same level.. I believe.

SHARON RICHFIELD, a renowned Psychologist has used Hypnotism in a way that many before her have tried and failed. She succeeds. She authors a book on her study, getting into the mind of a SERIAL KILLER, that booms to number one for a record number of weeks. Then one night she awakens in darkness, a house pitch black due to stormy weather, with no memory of who she is, where she is, and why there is a gun in her hand. From this point she must put her life back together to discover what happen this night and what else awaits her in the darkness. She is blown away when she discovers the body of a dead man, now paralyzed by fear.. Is she the one that ended his life or worse.. Is there someone or something else hiding in the darkness with her?

Everyone who has signed onto this project, has signed on due to the script. We know that it is fresh, unique, not been done before ( Believe it or not ) and this is what will set us apart when it plays the festivals. We have been looking for the right script to shoot as our first feature and we were on track to do a different one, AFTER DARK. In a way it is good that that fell off course. The script for that one, although interesting, definitely marketable, was something that has been done before. Though we had our twists on it, giving it the fresh appeal to those who signed on to do it. DISTORTION really is the project I want Mindworks remembered for. I want it to be what gets our name out there, if not just for the screenwriting, but for the visual style it will have. Everyone is looking forward to shooting this and getting it out there and we are literally inches from Principle photography. Just need one more cog, to fit all the pieces together, to build a good tool to make it.
